The Little Master

Many congratulations to India on winning the two Test Match series against Australia, in fact the only thing they didn't win was the toss. Another series of triumphs for the great Sachin Tendulkar - his 49th century, his 6th double century, and 14,000 Test runs. Many years ago, Sunil Gavaskar, another magnificent batsman, told me he believed Tendulkar would score 50 Test centuries. Perhaps he would now predict 60, with India leading the world rankings. What is more worrying for Australia, England et al, are the young replacements desperate to find a way into the Indian team, who look every bit as promising as the past generation. We all look forward to the Indians coming back to England, and hope that Tendulkar will still be in the party and will score the elusive 100 he's never managed at Lord's.
