On Monday evening I went to the Cecil Beaton private view at the Chris Beetles Gallery on Ryder Street. Over 700 people crammed in to watch Stephen Fry perform the opening of the new gallery. He was his usual brilliant and witty self, most of his barbed arrows aimed directly at Chris Beetles. The show itself was a massive success, with this sensational photograph of Marilyn Monroe, taken at the Ambassador Hotel in New York in 1956, stealing the show. Highly recommended.

Is it just me..?
When I saw the "Marilyn" photograph, the facial expression reminded me of Selina Scott...
Wonder how come she created such craze...with such short legs! For her acting, perhaps!!

your comment on marilyn reminds me of a joke
A chap was standing on the railings of a bridge, ready to jump into the river.
The patrolling policeman stopped him from committing suicide and tried to console him by saying, "some believe even MM committed suicide"
This chap asked the policeman
"Who is Marilyn Monroe?"
The policeman pushed him over the railings into the river!!!
Bro. Krish...good joke! But, no JFK no Marilyn. Alas! neither of the Monicas is actress!
